How to keep an elderly parent who is used to lots of company happy?
I once lived in a highrise apartment building and my aunt came to stay with me while her son was in the hospital for several weeks. I locked the door when I left. I was met by a neighbor who advised me my aunt had the door open all day and was inside my apartment while people why went by the door waved and some just walked in. I had fits when I heard that. So in your situation I'd say have a neighbor do the watching so when you're not home that something like this doesn't occur. If it does then someone might want to spend more time with her or take her to a seniors group (like babysitting) if you can get her there (for a break) then you can pick her up. Otherwise you might want to pay a sitter. There are temp agencies out there that do sitting (they chat, play cards, play games, watch tv with your loved one). Like maybe Home Instead Senior Care.
