What is this movie called?

I remember watching this movie where people get attacked by lots of bugs and like the city/town tries to kill them all. Lots of people die from the bugs too and they reproduce.. All I remember was that in the beginning, this guy dropped a bug into the sink or something... and, it reproduce? No, I forgot. But it was something like that. What is that movie? Help please, I need to know asap. Thanks
