Are all of these things actually true about Houston summers?

Yeah he's not exaggerating by much but in all fairness if you can make it in Abilene then you can make it in Houston. It's not that far apart to where there would be a noticeable climate change. Seriously it is just as hot in the desert of Abilene as it is in the city of Houston. I've stayed at dyess AFB during the summer when my brother was stationed there.
